ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm very excited to get to know you! On the ho-hum level, I am a former editor, nonprofit director, agritourism author, and Journalism School graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Once upon a time, however, I was also a handmaiden, a fair princess, and a duchess. I have survived earthquakes, warthogs, tornadoes, sword fights, and, worst of all, adolescence. That last one was a doozy!

These days I fancy mountain forests and flower gardens over boardrooms and bureaucratic jib-jab. After all, faerie creatures are more interesting and with a simpler agenda: keep the world clean and green, and stay true to yourself and others. My first book, Farms, Gardens & Countryside Trails of Western North Carolina, was a popular guidebook developed by Handmade in America, and funded through North Carolina Travel and Tourism, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and others. The first two novels of The Lost Key Trilogy are now available on Amazon.
I am currently working on Once Upon a Key, Beyond the Pentagorix, the final installment of this epic trilogy. If you love the earth and all its creatures-other than doonshades, goblins, and other dark faeries-you must already be a Green Guardian and, therefore, will love these books. Stay tuned to my upcoming blogs and news through the "Woodword" from the Once Upon a Key gang!
